The New York-based group Human Rights Watch has released a 90-page report on Sunday, discussing the current situation regarding Human rights in Israel and the Palestinian territories. The group criticizes Israel for the restrictions they place on obtaining Palestinian residency. According to the group, in this way Israel has denied thousands of Palestinians that live outside of the Palestinian territories to live, work or travel within them.
Human Rights Watch furthermore listed the blockade of the Gaza strip, the ongoing settlement expansion in the West Bank and the demolition of Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem as serious violations.
The report also noted Palestinian rocket fire aimed at Southern Israeli population centers and condemned Hamas.
Israel, meanwhile, criticized Human Rights Watch for its ‘anti-Israel bias’.
