Fatah member: ‘Hamas will defeat Fatah in May elections’

Since its defeat to Hamas in the 2006 elections, Fatah has come under criticism for failing to reform: it has not come up with new candidates and infighting between veterans and the young guard have undermined the party’s credibility. “Unless the situation in Fatah changes, what happened in the past could occur once again,” Amr said.
